Pod and Host

Coralogix APM provides logs relevant to a particular span context, granting a full picture of the services that power your applications.

Concepts

Spans and traces are the foundation of your Coralogix APM experience.

Using this telemetry data, Coralogix provides visibility into both application and infrastructure behavior through two observability layers:

  • POD: Application-level resource consumption, highlighting factors that affect response times and throughput.

  • HOST: Infrastructure-level resource consumption, showing how underlying systems and resources are used.

With POD and HOST, you can:

  • View pod and host metrics in real time, including resource usage and related network data.

  • Compare metrics within a single pod or across pods belonging to the same service.

  • Correlate Kubernetes spans, logs, and metrics for a specific pod or host.

  • Investigate errors by tracing logs and spans together.

  • Enrich deployments with tags derived from span context.

Access Pod & Host features

  1. In your Coralogix toolbar, navigate to Explore, then Tracing. Select the trace of interest.

  2. Select Related data in your right-hand tool bar.
