Quota Manager
Organization administrators can use the Quota Manager to review quota consumption across teams and rebalance units to reduce blocking and improve utilization. The dashboard provides an organization-wide view of usage to help identify trends and teams that are over- or under-allocated.
What you need
You must be an org admin to use Quota Manager.
Access Quota Manager
In the Coralogix UI, go to Settings, then Quota Manager.
Scope what you see
Use the controls at the top of the page to focus your analysis:
- Teams: Select one or more teams, or view all teams.
- Time period: Choose the time period (for example, the current month).
- Usage toggle: Switch between viewing usage in units or GB sent, depending on the tab and view.
- Filter and group: Use Filter by and Group by to narrow and break down the data. If you add multiple group-by chips, drag and drop them to reorder the breakdown.
- Annotations: Turn on View usage annotations to display an annotation layer on charts (for example, daily quota status). Hover over an annotation to see details such as when blocking occurred.
Usage tabs
Use the tabs to answer different questions, such as what type of data is driving usage, whether system datasets are contributing, how AI token usage is trending, and how daily quota behavior affects blocking.
- User data sent: Track user-generated telemetry broken down by priority and signal type.
- System data sent: View Coralogix-generated metadata. When system datasets are enabled, this data can count toward your daily quota. For more information, see System datasets.
- Infrastructure data: Review telemetry collected from cloud and Kubernetes environments, such as node status and pod lifecycle events.
- AI tokens: Track AI guardrail and evaluator usage for LLM observability.
- Metric usage: Review usage as metrics to analyze trends with a time-series view.
- Quota units: Monitor daily quota behavior, including consumption approaching quota, quota blocking, or Pay-As-You-Go usage.
Page sections
Overview
The Overview section provides a quick read on quota health for the selected teams and time range. It highlights available versus consumed quota, ingestion blocking, and daily usage behavior. Use this section to determine if you need to drill down into specific teams or reallocate units.
Note
Blocked units are estimates based on the current ingestion rate and might change throughout the day.
Daily usage chart
The visualization shows day-by-day usage for the selected scope. Use the chart to identify spikes or sustained increases.
- Hover: View details for a specific day, including comparisons to recent averages.
- Annotations: When enabled, the following status indicators appear:
- Green: Normal usage.
- Orange: High usage (above 80% of quota).
- Red: Quota was blocked. Hover over a red annotation to see the blocking time.
All teams
The All teams section allows you to compare teams side by side. Expand a team to review its daily trend and decide whether to shift units or optimize pipelines.
Move units between teams
Use the Move units feature to rebalance daily quota between teams without changing the total organization quota.
- Select Move units.
- Select the origin team.
- Enter the number of units to transfer.
- Select the target team.
- Select Calculate to preview the impact of the transfer.
- Select Confirm to apply the change.
Note
Transfers are only permitted between teams with identical retention periods.
Export
Select Export to download a CSV file of the current view, including teams, time range, filters, and breakdowns. Use this for auditing usage or tracking changes after unit transfers.
